Xtreme Fighting Championships present A Salute to our Armed Forces 4

"Judgement in the Cage"

Without a doubt, the best XFC yet! Between the explosive fight card and beautiful women everywhere you turned, it was defnitely the place to be. The XFC pulled out all the stops and put on their best show yet! All but one of the XFC’s fights have been held here in Tampa, FL at the St. Pete Times Forum. The XFC is rapidly growing and gaining the support of MMA fans everywhere.

This night's phenomenal fight card featured fighters such as C.T. Tarver, Matt "El Sablazo" Juncal, Dave "Pay Me" Yost, Mickey Gomez, and the main event; Ben "The Big O" Oroz vs. John "Mulatto Mauler" Mahlow.

The beginning of the evening started with a bang! In the first fight, Farkhad Sharipov came up with a win over Dustin "The Hitman" Heard in the third round.

The second fight of the night featured C.T. Tarver out of Kentucky Highlander Fight Team with a very impressive TKO win over Billy "Bad Ass" Colon in the third round.

Team XFC's Haki "Mata Leao" Lee came away as victor over Cortlanot Savageau out of Average Joe's in New Port Richey, FL in the third  fight.

The fourth bout belonged to Matt "El Sablazo" Juncal, who had a very impressive 51-second submission in the first round over Jeff Mansir.

The undefeated Lorenzo "The Borg" Borgomeo was victorious over CliftonWeston out of Team Tiburon in the fifth fight.

The sixth and one of the best fights of the evening belonged to Dave "Pay Me" Yost, who remains undefeated at 3-0, with  a TKO at 3 minutes, 5 seconds in the first round, over Vince "The Brawler" Austin, who was making his pro debut this night.

The seventh bout of the evening was also one of the quickest, and featured Mickey Gomez with a first round knockout over Antonio Grant!

The final fight of the night was John "Mulatto Mauler" vs. Eben "The Big O" Oroz for the Lightweight Championship Belt.

I had the chance to speak with both fighters before their match, and they were both very upbeat, fully focused, and complimentary of each other. Each one spoke very highly of the other which obviously showed a great respect 0 the key in MMA.

John is a hybrid fighter and stated that he was ready for anything, while Eben, who studies Jee Kun Do, said he just wanted to keep it standing.

This fight was a long, grueling war of attrition. It lasted the full three rounds ending with the decision going to John "Mulatto Mauler" Mahlow. While John may have walked away with the title, it was Eben who gave me the more painful answer to the question I had asked both fighters earlier in the day.

That question was "in a street fight between you and I, what would be your first plan of attack?" John cautiously answered "triangle choke so you could wake up
alone and not know what happened". Eben, on the other hand, decided that a
"spinning back fist and a kick in the nuts" would be sufficient.  Either way, great answers..

A hearty congratulations to the new Lightweight MMA XFC Champion, John
"Mulatto Mauler" Mahlow, and to all the victors of the evening.
